Read MoreCentaurus A: High Resolution Details of Filament Related to the Relativistic Jet
This image shows a comparison of details in the inner jet filament of Centaurus A. To the left is a crop of my image Centaurus A Extreme Deep Field - 120 Hours, and to the right is a 50 hour high resolution image from ESO La Silla Observatory in Chile.
Although the resolution of the ESO image is obviously much higher, there is a striking correlation of both details and colour between the two images.

Exposure: LRGB: 90h:10h:10h:10h, total 120 hours @ -28C
Telescope: 10" Serrurier Truss Newtonian f/5
Camera: QSI 683wsg with Lodestar guider
